Here my client is a keen cook and avid gardener. She asked for a carefully thought out, practical kitchen where she could cook and enjoy the garden view.

The kitchen had been dark and the working area cramped, so part of the brief was to introduce more light and a feeling of spaciousness. We did this by moving a wall to give the room an even, rectangular shape and removing the ceiling over the dining area.

Installing Velux windows in the roof and widening the existing doors and windows brought in much more light and increased the connection with the garden beyond.

The colour scheme was inspired by my client’s favourite painting which hangs above the sofa.

We carefully designed the layout and chose appliances to create a really practical cook’s kitchen and customised the storage to store all her utensils and equipment neatly and within easy reach.
